Ice Cream Parlor Robbed

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man armed with a knife robbed a South Hill ice cream parlor late Sunday.

A man entered the Baskin-Robbins at S1230 Grand at 10:45 p.m. and asked for change for a dollar bill, the Spokane Police Department said.

When one of the employees opened the cash register, the man displayed a 12-inch knife, police said.

The robber took cash from the register, ordered the two employees to the floor and left on foot, according to police. Police wouldn’t say how much cash was stolen.

The robber was described as a white man in his 20s or early 30s, about 5-foot-8, thin, with a reddish brown mustache. He wore a tan stocking cap with a red stripe, a red-and-black plaid jacket, faded jeans and hiking boots.
