Here is a look at action Monday in the Washington Legislature:

GOVERNOR

No major action.

SENATE

Approved a resolution honoring slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Bills introduced:

SB5190, to make it a crime to tattoo a person under age 16 without the permission of the youngster’s parents.

SB5235, to add a seventh judge to the Clark County Superior Court.

SB5220, to repeal a section of state law that requires a portion of appropriations for construction of state buildings to be set aside for works of art to be placed in public buildings.

HOUSE

Approved a resolution honoring slain civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Bills introduced:

HB1171, to prohibit adoption, foster care and placement care of minor children by homosexuals.

HB1161, to make it a felony to store a loaded firearm in such a way that a child would be able to gain access to it.

HB1176, to add a third judge to the Benton County Superior Court.
