Couple Gambles On Marriage

Instead of wedding bells, David Cirk and Brenda Charley will be wed to the sound of slot machines.

The couple planned to marry today at the Mill Bay Casino, near where they first met as slot machine change clerks about a month ago.

The casino, run by the Colville Confederated Tribes, will provide the cake and flowers for the short ceremony for Cirk of Chelan and Charley of Omak, said manager John Setterstrom.

In his 16 years in casino management, a number of employees have met and gotten married - but never in the casino itself, Setterstrom said.

Gambling will continue through the ceremony.
