Moscow Rolls Over Clarkston

Stefani Reynolds and Melinda Wenny each had six points in the third quarter as the Moscow Bears (12-6) beat the Clarkston Bantams (3-11) 41-36 in non-league girls basketball action Tuesday night in Moscow.

Moscow led by just one point, 20-19, heading into the second half but proceeded to go on an eight-point run in the third period as Reynolds and Wenny shot a combined 6-6.

At Post Falls, Alli Nieman scored 35 points and went 3 of 3 from the field during a 21-11 fourth quarter that helped Sandpoint (4-3, 13-5) down the Trojans, 65-55 (3-5, 7-12).

Ann Shephard scored 10 of her team-high 22 points in the second quarter for Post Falls.

At Bonners Ferry, Jana Nearing scored eight of her 10 points in the first quarter as the Badgers (5-2, 10-6) jumped ahead 8-0 on their way to defeating Lakeland (3-5, 3-11) 62-49.

Lakeland shot just 7-19 from the field in the first half.
