Sick of trade rumors and reports that he was unhappy, Derrick Coleman said Sunday he wants to play his entire career with the New Jersey Nets and eventually lead the club to an NBA championship.

“I am committed to helping the New Jersey Nets win the NBA championship,” said Coleman, who is the league’s highest-paid player at an average $7.5 million. “I want to finish my NBA career with the New Jersey Nets. I want to work with the Nets in order to establish a championship tradition here.”
