Going To Bat For Milk
A milk promotion group has launched a star-studded campaign to put to rest some popular misconceptions about milk.
In the advertisements that are to debut next month in national magazines, Christie Brinkley, Lauren Bacall and Joan Rivers, among other stars, sport milk mustaches and offer testimonials about milk’s taste and nutritional value.
Among the misconceptions the National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board challenges in the ads are the belief that milk loses its nutrients when fat is removed, that milk is just for kids and that supplements are the best source of calcium.
