Golfer Killed By Lightning

Compiled From Wire Services

Lightning struck a golfer just after he struck the ball, killing him instantly.

Jong Bae Suh, 53, was following through on his swing Saturday on the second hole at the Ibis Golf and Country Club when the lightning hit his club.

Another member of his foursome felt the bolt’s heat but was not injured, police said.

The lightning came from a fast moving thunderstorm, common in southern Florida in the summer.
