Ferry County Sheriff Doing Well After Heart Attack

Ferry County Sheriff Pete Warner is recovering at Sacred Heart Medical Center from a heart attack he suffered Monday.

Warner was in satisfactory condition Tuesday at Sacred Heart, a nursing supervisor said.

Warner also is the owner of the Malo Store in Malo.

Melba Carpenter, a store employee, said Warner suffered the heart attack Monday during a meeting he attended as sheriff in Republic.

“He is doing well,” she said. “If all goes well, he’ll be home Thursday or Friday.”

Warner defeated an incumbent last November to become sheriff. , DataTimes
