Police: Teen Hit By Man After Throwing Water In Wife’s Face
A Spokane teenager who threw water on a woman near a downtown coffee shop was assaulted by the woman’s husband, police said.
Witnesses said the 17-year-old tossed a glass of water in the woman’s face as she walked by Java Junkies, 221 N. Division, about 10:30 p.m. Monday.
The woman left, but a few minutes later a man showed up and demanded to know who had thrown the water at his wife. The 17-year-old was identified and the husband hit him in the head with something wrapped in a white towel. The man hit the teenager several more times and left, police said.
The teenager was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries to his mouth and face. It is unclear why the boy threw water at the woman, police said.
Witnesses gave a description of the man but have not located him, spokesman Dick Cottam said. , DataTimes
