Wollendale Mariners Win League Division

The Woolendale Mariners compiled a 14-1 baseball record to win the National Division of Spokane’s Pony League.

Made up of 13- and 14-year-olds from Salk and Glover middle schools, the team was led offensively by Nick Frosheiser, who posted a .521 batting average, and Alan Longtain, who hit .405.

Top pitchers for the team were Dan Lafferty and Breat Pearson.

Other team members are Jon Rosario, Jeff Peterson, Ken Trujillo, Ben Sorcinelli, Jason Hansen, Chad Egger, Justin Hare, Jeremy Johnson and Brad Jones.

Coaching the Mariners was Tom Rosario.
