Drug Raid Turns Up Porn Tapes

After police raided a suspected methamphetamine lab in north Spokane on Thursday, they seized from the same house 120 videotapes believed to contain child pornography.

Although tapes police viewed Friday turned out to be adult pornography, the investigation won’t be finished for another week, said Detective Jerry Keller.

Robert Katke, 65, gave police permission to search his home at 34 E. Glass for the suspected pornography. Katke was arrested earlier this week after undercover officers bought methamphetamine at his house July 19.

They didn’t find evidence of a lab during Thursday’s search.
