Woman Tells Police Of Attempted Rape

From Staff And Wire Reports

A woman told police a man forced her into the bushes along North Division early Saturday and tried to rape her.

The victim said she and a girlfriend were in the One Bridge North Tavern on North Division when the man approached them. The women told police they left the tavern because the man became loud and crude.

The victim returned to the tavern where she again was approached by the man. She said he forced her to walk to a bushy area near the Spokane Teachers Credit Union parking lot where he tried to rape her. When the victim resisted, the man struck her and threatened her before running away.

Police said the attacker is white, in his early 20s, stands about 6 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has short dark hair and a mustache. , DataTimes
