Paul Clinefelter

Onaway, Idaho

Graveside service for Paul Daniel Clinefelter, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Mendenhall Cemetery near Potlatch, Idaho. Kramer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clinefelter, who was born in Brocton, N.Y., died Friday.

He and his wife moved to Onaway, Idaho in 1978 from California. He had worked for the North Monterey County School District in California until his retirement in 1978.

He was a member of the Baptist Church, and the Princeton Grange.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lilah Clinefelter of Onaway; one daughter, Rosalee Higuera of Harvard, Idaho; one sister, Ellen Lovett of Auburn, Calif.; three grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Princeton Grange No. 426.

Robert Striegel

Davenport, Wash.

Memorial service for Robert Edward Striegel, 88, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash.

Mr. Striegel, a lifelong resident of Creston, Wash., died Friday, June 2.

He had grown up in Creston, Wash., where he was a wheat farmer. He moved to Davenport in 1950, and worked for the City of Davenport until his retirement in 1972. He graduated from Creston High School.

He had been a member of the Davenport Grange and the Washington Grain Growers Association.

His wife, Marie, preceded him in death in 1975.

He is survived by one son, Bill Striegel of Bellevue, Wash.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Irvin Ausum

Spokane

Private family service for Irvin M. Ausum, 89, will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ausum, who was born in Minnesota, died Wednesday. He had worked for White Pine and Sash Lumber Mill for 15 years. The most recent five years had been spent working at the Ausum Company, a tunnel construction company. He retired in 1970.

He had been a member of St. John Vianney and St. Mary’s Catholic Churches, and the Eagles Aerie.

His wife, Geraldine, preceded him in death in 1971. Survivors include one son, John Ausum of Greenacres; one sister, Mabel Schultz of Spokane; one brother, Ken Ausum, of Regina, Canada.

John Schibel

Spokane

Memorial Mass for John W. Schibel, 69, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. There will be a private cremation. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Schibel, who was born in Tacoma, died Tuesday.

He had been a resident of Spokane for 47 years. H retired from the United States Postal Service.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish; Scout Master of Boy Scouts of America; he received the St. George Award.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Anne Schibel of Spokane; three sons, Patrick, James and Kevin Schibel all in Spokane; one daughter, Frances Wells of Longmont, Colo.; four brothers, Mark Schibel of Tacoma, Robert Schibel of Manitou Springs, Colo., Allen Schibel of Seaside, Ore., Harry Schibel of McMinnville, Ore.; one sister, Jean Cotterell of Portland, Ore.; and ten grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Poor Clare Nuns.

David Anderson

Spokane

Graveside service and cremation for David G. Anderson, 76,will be held at 1 p.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Anderson, who was born in Metaline, Falls, Wash., died Tuesday.

He had been a resident of Spokane for 38 years.

He graduated from Ione High School and Eastern Washington University.

He had worked as a construction foreman for Morrison-Knutson for many years.

He had been a member of the Laborers Local 238; the United Woodworkers of America; and the United Mine Workers.

He is survived by his wife, June Anderson of Spokane; two sons, Dave Anderson of Coeur d’Alene; Johnnie Anderson of Spokane; one grandson; one great grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.

Harold Meisner

Spokane

Service for Harold A. Meisner, 72, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mr. Meisner, who was born in St. Maries, Idaho, died Thursday.

He had worked as a self-employed roofer.

He was a member of the Brotherhood Of Friends, and a Veteran of World War II United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Eulalie Meisner of Spokane; one sister, Marie Linn of San Jose, Calif.; half sister, Pauline Horne of Kirkland, Wash.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Red Cross.
