Body Discovered Near River Identified

From Staff And Wire Reports

The man found dead last week along the Spokane River near the T.J. Meenach Bridge has been identified as a lifelong Spokane resident who worked in lawn and window maintenance.

The body of Craig Allen Ramsey, 23, was spotted in brush along the river by people walking near the bridge on June 1.

Spokane County Coroner Dexter Amend said Ramsey’s body was identified using dental records.

Two witnesses told police they saw Ramsey land in the river last February at the Monroe Street Bridge, Amend said.

The coroner said the cause of Ramsey’s death is listed as undetermined.

Ramsey, a graduate of Mead High School, had been employed by Bearing & Rim Supply.
