Salmon Hearing Set For Spokane
The National Marine Fisheries Service has added Spokane to the list of cities where it is holding hearings on its Snake River salmon recovery plan.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 29 at Spokane Community College.
The addition was made at the request of Rep. George Nethercutt and Sen. Slade Gorton, both Washington Republicans. It will be the 13th and final hearing. People will be given five minutes to speak, and asked to submit their comments in writing.
The public comment period ends July 17.
