Revaluation Notices Are In The Mail
Spokane County property owners whose businesses or homes gained or lost in assessed value in 1995 will be getting letters soon from Assessor Charlene Cooney.
These notices could bring good or bad news. A reduced value could mean a lower property tax bill next year. A higher value could mean the taxes will go up.
Cooney’s office began mailing revaluation notices Tuesday, and they should all be out by late August. The notices will be sent to the property owner of record, not the taxpayer or the mortgage company.
Those with questions about their property values can call the assessor’s office at (509) 456-5793, ext. 125, 126, 129, 130, 135, 136, 138, 144 or 147. Or stop by the office on the first floor of the County Courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway. , DataTimes
