Lorna White Spokane
Service for Lorna Estell White, 80, is planned for 11 a.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens in Hayden, Idaho.
Mrs. White, who was born in Deer Park, died Sunday.
She had lived in Orofino and Cataldo, Idaho, and moved to Spokane in 1951. She worked as a cook at the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Grant’s and Newberry’s.
She was a member of the Sinto Senior Center.
Her first husband, Charlie Price, died in 1960. Her second husband, Ansel White, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Cecil and Roger Price, both of Hayden Lake; two daughters, Mazelle Hightower of Kamiah, Idaho, and Nancy Oles of Sumner, Wash.; three brothers, Henry Stearns of Almira, Wash., Donald Stearns of Wenatchee and Gordon Stearns of Rock Island, Wash.; two sisters, Ruby Havedahl of Malaga, Wash., and Helen Riggins of Grand Coulee; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Gene Schierman Spokane
Service for Gene W. Schierman, 59, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Schierman, who died Wednesday, was born in Colfax, Wash.
He graduated from Central Valley High School and worked as an aircraft technician and crew chief for the Washington Air National Guard for 30 years. He retired in 1990.
He was a member of East Valley Baptist Church and the National Guard Association of Washington.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Gail Schierman; two sons, David Schierman of Spokane and Gary Schierman of Germany; one daughter, Kathy Wellington of San Diego; his parents, Adolph and Gladys Schierman of Spokane; five brothers, Gerald Schierman of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Bill, Larry, Roger and Robert Schierman, all of Spokane; and six grandchildren.

Francis Buck Spokane
Memorial service for Francis M. Buck, 76, is set for 10 a.m. today at Christ Lutheran Church, where he was a member. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Francis, who died Monday, was born in Meade, Kan.
He moved to Spokane in 1946 and had worked for Kaiser Aluminum for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Buck; one daughter, Fran Miller of Forest Grove, Ore.; one son, Michael Buck of Millwood; one sister, Viola Smart of Springfield, Mo.; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
Pearl Hatfield Colfax, Wash.
Graveside service for Pearl W. Hatfield, 100, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Endicott (Wash.) Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hatfield died Tuesday at Whitman Convalescent Center in Colfax.
She was born in Sacramento, Calif., and moved to the Mica Bay area of Lake Coeur d’Alene with her family.
She worked as a personnel secretary for the Bunker Hill Mining Co., in Kellogg, for many years. In 1969 she moved to Endicott and, in 1989, to Colfax.
Her third husband, Sylvan Hatfield, died in 1982.
Mrs. Hatfield’s survivors include three nephews, Dale Johnson of Endicott, Coy Smith of Cheney and Guy Smith of Spokane; and numerous other nephews, nieces great-nieces and great-nephews.

Oswald Suksdorf Spokane
Graveside service for Oswald Suksdorf, 79, was held Thursday at International Order of Odd Fellows Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia, Wash.
Mr. Suksdorf, who died Sunday, was born in Rosalia.
He was a tax consultant in Spokane from 1952 until he retired. He had previously owned the Citizen Journal, a newspaper in Rosalia.
He was a World War II Coast Guard veteran, a member of the Inland Empire Railway Historical Society, Rosalia Masonic Lodge No. 84, Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Sigma Delta Chi and the El Katif Shrine.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mabel Suksdorf; two daughters, Susanne Suksdorf of Spokane and Christina Suksdorf of Seattle; one son, Nicholas Suksdorf of Spokane; one sister, Lucine Hanford of Spokane; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Helene McKissock Spokane
Funeral Mass for Helene McKissock, 83, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mary Queen Catholic Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Irwin, Pa., Mrs. McKissock died Sunday.
She had retired from The Crescent department store and had lived in Spokane for 42 years.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 1447 and the Altar Society of Mary Queen Catholic Church.
Her husband, Paul McKissock, died in 1993.
She is survived by one son, Mike Davis of Spokane; one brother, Charles Sullivan of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Lee Dale Spokane
Funeral Mass for Lee W. Dale, 67, will be at 1 p.m. today at Mary Queen Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Trentwood. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dale, who died Tuesday, was born in Castana, Iowa.
He worked for Chipman’s Mayflower Moving and Storage for 25 years and was a member of Teamsters Local 690.
He had lived in Spokane for 47 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maryann; two sons, Robert Dale of Spokane and Michael Dale of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Connie Overdorff of Otis Orchards; two sisters, Malvina Bohan and Joyce Sorensen, both of Spokane; eight grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.

Mr. MacKenzie died Monday.
He was born in Lewiston and had lived in Spokane for 50 years.
He served in the Army in Korea and worked in real estate sales for many years.
Mr. MacKenzie was active in the Boy Scouts and was an elder at Millwood Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Evelyn MacKenzie; one daughter, Karen Baldwin of Mead; two brothers, Wayne MacKenzie of Nelson, British Columbia, and MacKlyn MacKenzie of Spokane; one granddaughter and one grandson.

Louis Bories Spokane
Memorial service for Louis Phillip Bories, 75, is planned for 2 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home.
Mr. Bories, who died Wednesday, was born in Battle Creek, Mich.
Mr. Bories was the owner of Holiday Mobile Homes in Spokane for 20 years.
He had served in the Army during World War II in the 101st Airborne.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Bories; one daughter, Joni Bories of Spokane; one son, Tom Bories of Sechelt, British Columbia; two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Marie Stretch Spokane

Mrs. Stretch, who died Tuesday, was born in Minneapolis.
A homemaker, she had lived in Spokane since 1939.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Stretch; one daughter, Suzanne Viets of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
