Union Addresses Minors

Compiled From Wire Services

Minor leaguers were told there could be unpleasant consequences - from players or from management - if they decide to play in exhibition games this week.

The union meeting, the second of three in three days, lasted about 3 hours and was attended by 135 players.

Many of the approximately 110 minor leaguers were from the nearby Montreal Expos camp, where they have been told to either play exhibition games or be sent home immediately.

Half the time was spent discussing the exhibition game issue, the rest was devoted to other topics.
