The following persons were released from Washington State Department of Corrections facilities in January. Some persons were convicted of more than one offense; only the most serious offense is listed.

Credit for time served in county facilities was subtracted from the total sentence. Inmates are eligible for a sentence reduction of up to one-third for good behavior. For a variety of reasons, some people actually serve more time than their original sentence.

Ernie Mitchell Convicted in Spokane County of second-degree murder. Total sentence: 365 days; time served: 271 days. Released to Pierce County.

James Gray Convicted in Spokane County of theft. Total sentence: 882 days; time served: 453 days. Released to Spokane County.

Dickey Woodcox Convicted in Spokane County of first- and second-degree manslaughter. Total sentence: 1,731 days; time served: 1,489 days. Released to Spokane County.

Clark Allen Convicted in Spokane County of a drug crime. Total sentence: 1,095 days; time served: 655 days. Released to Spokane County.

Steven Adams Convicted in Mason County of second-degree murder. Total sentence: 4,565 days; time served: 3,325 days. Released to Spokane County.
