East Valley High Picks Lilac Princess

The third of 12 Lilac Festival princesses was chosen Friday.

Emily Mattoon, 18, will represent East Valley High School. She is the daughter of Micheal and Alicia Mattoon.

Mattoon is involved in the Big Sister program, and is her student body’s activities coordinator, a member of the track team and a cello player.

She wants to become a high school music teacher and plans to attend Brigham Young University’s Hawaii campus.
