Wildlife education

The Spokane Audubon Society is taking applications for a $500 grant to the Audubon Camp in the West, a weeklong mountain ecology workshop held in July or August.

The grant is especially applicable to teachers or youth group leaders who can use the knowledge for community education. Applicants must write a letter explaining how they would use what they learn to promote environmental studies.

Total cost for the week of plant and animal study is $695. To apply call 448-2447. The deadline is March 15.
