Key to the game: Gar-Pal (25-4) outraced the Crusaders (21-8) from the tipoff, building a 15-2 lead and playing thereafter in a relaxed, let’s-have-fun fashion. Vikings seniors John Lawton, Beau Hilty-Jones, Steve Cofield and Rob Tiegs scored in double figures.

Other highlights: Gar-Pal shot 61 percent from the floor and outrebounded the taller Crusaders 40-30. Cofield had 20 points, 10 rebounds and made 8 of 11 field goals. Tiegs completed his State B career with 161 points.

Key to the game: The Lions (20-7) threw their attention at Garrett Zwar of Pateros (21-7), who had averaged 23 points per tournament game. Brady Quinlan held Zwar to 16.

Key to the game: Adna (25-2) played a matchup zone defense on Ryan Floyd, who set a tourney record Friday with eight 3-pointers in a game. Floyd had just one 3-pointer and scored 10 (26 less than on Friday).

Other highlights: Adna’s inside game, with Jeff Ellis (30 points) and Mike Brown (22), led a 35-for-53 shooting performance. Brown and Ellis were 22 of 34. Adna’s Joel Humphrey had 10 assists. The Pirates topped 90 points despite an illness that had swept the team.

The Pirates jump to Class A next year. S-H had never placed.

Key to the game: The Dayton (28-1) defense swarmed a Toutle Lake offense that had averaged 75 points per tournament game. Dayton’s Will Hutchens guarded Greg Kilponen (18 points per tourney game) and held the senior to six points.

Other highlights: Hutchens scored 10 consecutive points - including two 3-pointers - during a 14-0 third-quarter run quarter that demoralized the Ducks (25-2). Ducks guard Kevin Grabenhorst, averaging 20 ppg at the tourney, was slowed by an ankle injury and limited to six points. Nick Andrew (24 points) did all the Toutle scoring for nearly 10 minutes of the second half.
