London The World Indoor Track and Field Championships, already missing many top stars, lost another marquee name when world and Olympic sprint champion Linford Christie withdrew.

Christie’s absence was another jolt to an event which already is missing many of top Americans. Among those not competing at Barcelona, for various reasons, are Michael Johnson, Carl Lewis, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Gwen Torrence, Dan O’Brien and Dennis Mitchell.

Boulding gets to Finger Finger Lake, Alaska Charlie Boulding, a two-time winner of the Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race, led the Iditarod dog sled race into Finger Lake, 194 miles from the ceremonial start at Anchorage.

Boulding arrived in Finger Lake at 5:55 a.m, Alaskan time, pulled out again 15 minutes later.
