Approved 33-16 and sent to the House SB5124 requiring that the wording on marriage license applications inform couples they have the right to live within the marriage free from violence and abuse.
Approved 37-12 and sent to the House SB6034, which repeals a section of the 1933 Health Services Act that requires employers to pay half the insurance coverage of employees.
Approved 49-0 and sent to the House SB5024 requiring prison inmates to pay $3 each time they report to sick call.
Approved 45-4 and sent to the House SB5568 requiring that lightweight tire studs be the only legal studs in Washington beginning July 1, 2001.
Approved 49-0 and sent to the House SB5235 adding a seventh judge to the Clark County Superior Court.

House:
Approved 66-29 and sent to the Senate HB1187, which would abolish the state Department of Social and Health Services and replace it with four agencies dealing with income and medical assistance, long-term care, children, youth and family services and health and rehabilitative services.
Approved 79-16 and sent to the Senate HB1021 requiring 16- and 17-year-olds to be tried as adults automatically if they are in possession of a gun when they commit a crime.
Approved and sent to the Senate HB1248 deferring sales and use taxes for 10 years on all materials, equipment and labor used to build or equip a new thoroughbred racetrack.
Approved and sent to the Senate HB1099 requiring prostitutes and patrons of prostitutes to be tested for AIDS.
Approved and sent to the Senate HB1080 allowing outdoor burning without a permit in all non-urban areas.

Approved and sent to the Senate HB1035 requiring the state automatically investigate deaths of children or developmentally disabled people living in any facility run or licensed by the state.
