U-High Chooses Princess

From Staff Reports

The sixth of 12 Lilac Festival princesses was chosen Thursday night.

Sarah Bunnell, an 18-year-old University High School student, will represent her school. She is the daughter of Raelee and Steven Bunnell.

Bunnell is a National Honor Society member, senior class representative and study government activities coordinator. She also is on the volleyball and track teams and is the vice president of the Tau Sigma service club.

She plans to attend Brigham Young University this fall, where she said she will study “a variety of subjects.”

One of the princesses representing a dozen Spokane-area schools will be chosen as queen April 22 at 7 p.m. at Ferris High School.

The queen will ride in the Lilac Festival Torchlight Parade on May 20, along with the princesses.
