Fire Damages North Spokane Home

A fire Monday night at 409 E. Nordin St. was caused by a child playing with matches, according to the Spokane Fire Department.

Spokane firefighters responded to the fire at 7:39 p.m., but residents had already brought it under control.

The fire extensively damaged the rear bedroom of the home, but the residents were able to stay there Monday night.
