Evans, Stewart Triumph

U.S. swimming superstars Janet Evans and Mel Stewart each won their second titles in the Phillips 66 National Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Evans, 23, of Placentia, Calif., won the 400-meter freestyle in 4 minutes, 14.34 seconds. Stewart, 26, of Charlotte, N.C., took the title in the 100-meter butterfly with a 53.90 clocking.
