Missing Couple Found In California

A Grants Pass couple who disappeared a week before their wedding were found in Riverside, Calif.

Loriann Jean Fogle, 18, and Alen Jeremie Long, 21, told police Friday night they had decided to visit friends in California, but didn’t tell anyone because they thought the plan would meet with objections.

State police launched a search for the couple on Friday after family members reported them missing. A search plane was used to along Redwood Highway, which links Grants Pass and O’Brien, Sgt. Ralph Nelson said.

Family members said the couple told them they were driving to O’Brien to visit Long’s grandmother on Wednesday, but the pair never arrived.

The couple told police they plan to return to Grants Pass in time for their March 25 wedding.
