Warrants Out For 2 In Stabbing

From Staff Reports

Police issued arrest warrants for two Spokane men wanted in connection with Monday’s stabbing of Martin Yarbrough.

Felony warrants for first-degree assault were issued for Bradford Jay Erickson, 36, and Allen John Brown, 19. Both are from the Spokane area, but neither has a permanent address.

Yarbrough, 34, was in satisfactory condition at Holy Family Hospital on Wednesday after being assaulted by two men. He suffered about 20 stab wounds to his back during an incident behind a house at 118 E. Sanson.

When police questioned him Tuesday at the hospital, Yarbrough, who was drunk at the time of the attack, had trouble remembering what happened. But he was able to identify the two men who stabbed him, police said.

Before the attack, the three men left the North Side house together and got into a car parked behind it. A few minutes later Yarbrough knocked on the back door. When the owner answered the door, the bleeding man stumbled into the house and collapsed, police said.

Police are looking for both suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
