King Sails Toward Tyson

Promoter Don King missed a news conference for a double heavyweight-title boxing show because he was in Florida preparing for an “odyssey” to Indiana, where former champion Mike Tyson is scheduled to be released from prison Saturday.

“The journey I’m going on is, what do you call it - is the journey that Homer wrote about,” King said on a speaker phone from his office in Florida.

“Saturday, I will be in Indiana coming out with my friend, my man - Mike Tyson.

So, will he be involved with Tyson’s boxing comeback?.

“Whatever he chooses,” King said. “As long as he’s free, I’ll jump for joy.”
