Shadle Park Selects Lilac Festival Princess

Carrie Keyes, the last of 12 Lilac Festival princesses, was chosen Thursday night to represent Shadle Park High School.

The 18-year-old senior is the daughter of Gary and Sandy Keyes of Spokane.

Carrie is a varsity cheerleader and the secretary for the Associated Student Body at Shadle. She’s involved in track, cross-country and gymnastics, and serves as vice president of Distributive Education Clubs of America.

Carrie is also involved in her community as a peer helper, AIDS quilt volunteer and chairperson of a Thanksgiving food drive.

She hopes to attend Washington State University and get a degree in nutrition.
