Raid Fails To Find Drug Lab Three Suspects Charged With Selling Methamphetamines
A raid on a suspected drug lab in northeast Spokane fizzled Thursday, but police did end up arresting three suspects.
All three were charged with selling methamphetamine, said sheriff’s Lt. David Wiyrick, a spokesman for the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force.
Arrested were Terry Magnaghi, 24; James C. Badger, 19, and his mother, Judith Brandon, 50, all of Spokane.
Officers assigned to the drug task force carried out the raid at 1711 E. Ross Court, where they expected to find evidence of a methamphetamine lab.
Because those makeshift drug labs use dangerous chemicals, the task force was assisted by a specially trained, seven-member Washington State Patrol team flown to Spokane from Olympia.
The Spokane Fire Department hazardous materials team and specialists from the Department of Ecology also were called to the scene.
A thorough search of the house failed to turn up any evidence of a drug lab, Wiyrick said.
Lt. Lorin Sperry, who commands the drug task force, said the raid was planned after an informant made two purchases of methamphetamine.
