Dolphins Sign Clark

Compiled From Wire Services

Wide receiver Gary Clark, eighth on the NFL’s all-time reception list, signed a twoyear contract with the Miami Dolphins as the Dolphins continued to beef up Dan Marino’s supporting cast.

Further terms of the contract weren’t disclosed.

Clark, who turns 33 today, said he originally wanted to play with Dallas because he wanted to remain in the NFC East. But a visit to the Dolphins’ training facility changed his mind.

Clark is the only receiver in NFL history to have at least 50 receptions in each of his first nine seasons. In his 10-year career, Clark has caught at least 50 passes each year and has 662 receptions and 63 touchdowns.
