Reunion Could Be Basis For Book

A gathering of Whitman County veterans of World War II could be the start of a book, a reunion organizer said.

The Victory in Europe Day reunion at Washington State University will include dinner, music and the taking of a group picture. Organizer Augie Luft said he hopes the event will prompt a book of photos and stories of the county’s veterans.

The gathering begins at 4 p.m. at the Compton Union Building. Dinner tickets are $10.
