Travel By The Numbers

All the phone numbers that you will ever need are in phone books - that is, if you could ever figure out what listings to look under.

To help your fingers avoid some walking, here are some general information numbers for travel around the Inland Northwest.

Keep in mind that, for purposes of tourism information, many states and and Canadian provinces are divided into regional areas with their own visitor information centers.

These regional centers can provide more detailed information on lodging, points of interest and recreational opportunities; their phone numbers are available from the state or provincial offices.

WASHINGTON

Washington State Tourism provides free copies of the Washington State Lodging and Travel Guide and quarterly Field Guides. (800) 544-1800, ext. 101.

Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife provides information on hunting, salt water and fresh water fishing and wildlife viewing. (360) 902-2250 or 2200.

Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission offers information on state parks and recreational opportunities. (360) 902-8500.
