Spokane Man Arrested After Infant Injured

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 20-year-old man was arrested Monday on suspicion he broke bones of an infant he baby-sat.

Aaron P. Wheeler, 1427 W. Boone, was arrested at the Public Safety Building on two counts of seconddegree assault.

Wheeler was being held without bond late Monday.

The 4-month-old boy was examined at Sacred Heart Medical Center last Tuesday . The child had suffered a fractured skull and several other broken bones, including both legs, a right forearm and at least four broken ribs, according to police.

Wheeler apparently baby-sat the infant on several occasions, and was questioned by a police detective after the baby was taken to the hospital.
