Helen Moser Pullman

Rosary for Helen Frances Moser, 81, is planned for 7:30 p.m. today, and funeral Mass is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with both services at Saint Gall Catholic Church in Colton, Wash. Burial will follow at the St. Gall Cemetery. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moser, who was born in Colton, Wash., died on Wednesday.

She graduated from Colton High School.

Mrs. Moser had worked as a secretary for the Colton Insurance Agency from 1960 until 1994.

She served on the Colton City Council.

Mrs. Moser was a member of the Colton Grange, the Catholic Daughters of America, and the altar societies of the St. Bonafice Church and the St. Gall Church.

Her first husband, Frank Babinski, died in 1949. Her second husband, George Moser, died in 1960.

She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Belote of Elk and Barbara Meyer of Uniontown, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Glenna Burley of Las Vegas, Nev.; two stepsons, Gary Moser of Lewiston and Maurice Moser of Orofino, Idaho; two brothers, Alfred and John Druffel, both of Colton; three sisters, Elsie Fulfs of Colfax, Wash., Mary Howell of Tigard, Ore., and Trudy Weber of Colton; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the St. Gall’s Endowment Fund or Morning Star Boys Ranch.

Alfred L. Nave Sr. Nordman, Idaho

Service for Alfred L. Nave Sr. will be at 10 a.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Nave, 53, who was born in Springfield, Ill., died Monday in Spokane.

He had worked as an auto body technician.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Nave; two sons, Alfred Nave Jr. and Alvin L. Nave, both of Spokane; two daughters, Angela Bafus of St. John, Wash., and Arlene Nave of Nordman; two brothers, James Nave of Mendota, Ill., and Donald Nave Sr. of La Pine, Ore.; three sisters, Margie Eddington of Springfield, Ill., Alice Hager of Portland and Ruth Ross of Tigard, Ore.; and two grandchildren.

Robert Jason Worley, Idaho

Private service will be held for Robert Clinton Jason, 79. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jason, who was born in Coulee City, Wash., died Tuesday.

He was a longtime resident of Spokane and had lived in Worley for 19 years.

Mr. Jason was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He worked for Barton Oldsmobile as a controller for 35 years.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Thelma; a son, Michael Jason of Lincoln City, Ore.; two grandsons and three great-grandsons.

Clarence ‘Jim’ Greenslitt Spokane

Memorial service for Clarence “Jim” Greenslitt, 83, is set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home-North.

Mr. Greenslitt, born in Stockett, Mont., died Wednesday.

He moved to Spokane as a child and graduated from West Valley High School in 1929.

Mr. Greenslitt had worked as an independent contractor for the Postal Service from 1950 until his retirement in 1980.

He was a member of Malden Masonic Lodge 188. He served in the merchant marine in the Pacific during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Greenslitt; two daughters, Patricia Black and Sally Baute, both of Edmonds, Wash.; two brothers, Don and Darrell Greenslitt, both of Spokane; and two grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.

Nathaniel Sanburn Spokane

Service for Nathaniel Z. Sanburn, 89, was Thursday at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mr. Sanburn, who was born in Sickels, Okla., died Wednesday.

He was a resident of Spokane for 49 years and had worked at the Yardley Pole Yard. His wife, Constance, preceded him in death .

He is survived by a son, Everett Sanburn of Boring, Ore.; two daughters, Louise Lambert of Pahrump, Nev., and Lois Hoop of Las Vegas, Nev.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Donald Foote Spokane

No service will be held for Donald R. Foote, 73. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Foote, who was born in Minot, N.D., died Saturday.

He was an Army veteran who served during World War II. After the war, he moved to Spokane.

He was a carpenter for several contractors in Spokane. Mr. Foote was a member of Carpenters Union Local 98.

Survivors include two daughters, Dona White of Arlington, Va., and Denise McCann of Spokane; a son, Dan Foote of Spokane; his companion of 30 years, Doris Dymack; and several grandchildren.

Orville Luedke Spokane

No service will be held for Orville W. Luedke, 77. Private inurnment will be at the Pines Cemetery. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Luedke, who was born in Woodlake, Minn., died Tuesday.

He had lived in Spokane for 49 years. He served in the Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Orlette; three sons, Ken Luedke of Spokane, and Jerry and Dick Luedke, both of Calif.; one brother, Alden Luedke of St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Loiuse Orr of Polson, Mont., and Sylvia Mironde, of Woodlake; and four grandchildren.

Vera E. Hansel Spokane

Service is set for 1 p.m. today for Vera E. Hansel, 82, at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Hansel, who was born in Pullman, died Wednesday.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Spokane for 72 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal “Pete” Hansel, in 1975.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Hansel of Spokane, and Cecil Hansel and Royal Hansel, both of Seattle; a daughter, Joan Hanson of Oak Harbor, Wash.; a sister, Aleta Jackson of Bellflower, Calif.; a half-sister, Ilene Davis of Spokane; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.

Hazel Gambs Spokane

Graveside service for Hazel M. Gambs, 84, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Riverside Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gambs, who was born in Nebraska, died Tuesday.

A 55-year resident of Spokane, she was a bookkeeper and accountant at Spokane Glass Co. for 15 years. She later worked for Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Mrs. Gambs was a member of Central Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by a son, Gary Mathers of El Toro, Calif.; two sisters, Cynthia Moe of Mesa, Ariz., and Letha Lovejoy of Lincoln, Neb.; one brother, Leo Stowers of Lincoln; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bryan Patenaude Spokane

Memorial Service for Bryan L. Patenaude, 25, is set for 2 p.m. today at Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral HomeNorth is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Patenaude, who was born and raised in Spokane, died Saturday.

He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Patenaude of Spokane; three sisters, Renee Patenaude and Juanita Pinkerton, both of Spokane, and Christine Knowles of Grants Pass, Ore.; one brother, Bill Corley of Spokane; and his father, Arthur Patenaude of Troy, Mont.

Charles Field Spokane

No service will be held for Charles W. Field, 83. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Field, who was born in David, N.M., died Monday.

He had been the manager of George M. Philpott Equipment Co.

Mr. Field was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, El Katif Shrine, the Spokane Valley Shrine Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Operating Engineers.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mildred; two sons, Dick Field of Bridgeport, Wash., and Bob Field of Veradale; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.

Martha Jantz Spokane

Service is planned for Martha Jantz, 75, at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fourth Memorial Church, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Menno Cemetery in Ritzville, Wash. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home South is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jantz, who was born in Schrag, Wash., died Tuesday.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Daniel Jantz; three sons, Jerry Jantz of Reardan, Wash., and Dwayne and Clifford Jantz, both of Spokane; four daughters, Carol Holter of Rice, Wash., Shirley Goldberger and Brenda Olson, both of Spokane, and Joyce Mattocks of Papua, New Guinea; three brothers, Edmond Waltner of Las Cruces, N.M., Harold Waltner of Woodburn, Ore., and Raymond Waltner of Snohomish, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fourth Memorial Building or Missions funds.

Thomas Bierce Seattle

Memorial service for Thomas J. Bierce, 35, is set for Saturday at the SGI USA Culture Center in Seattle.

Mr. Bierce, who was born in Spokane, died of cancer in Seattle on Sunday.

He was a graduate of North Central High School.

In Spokane, he worked for U.S. Bank and then moved to Seattle 10 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Bierce; two stepdaughters, Miriam and Jesse, both of Seattle; one brother, Bill Bierce of Spokane; and three sisters, Mary Anne Bonney of Seattle, Peggy Teddy of Overland Park, Kan., and Renie Johnson of Spokane.

Memorial contributions may be made to the SGI USA Culture Center or the American Cancer Society.

James J. Masterson Spokane

Graveside service for James J. Masterson, 89, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Masterson, who was born in Iowa City, Iowa, died Tuesday.

A Spokane resident for 50 years, he lived as a youth in Jackson Hole, Wyo.

He moved to Spokane and worked as a carpenter and then went to work for O.L. Hood, a company he later purchased and was renamed Masters’ Motor Parts. He owned and operated the business for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maxine, of Spokane, and a daughter, Ida Rose Thompson of Hawaii.

Bonnie Ross Spokane

Private service was held for Bonnie Jean Ross.

Ms. Ross, 56, a lifelong resident of Spokane, died Wednesday.

She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School.

Ms. Ross worked as a secretary for the Spokane Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Center, as an escort for a Spokane travel agency, and for Superior Mining Co.

While she attended Washington State University, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Ross, her sister, Rodeen Ross, two daughters, Theresa McGee and Tami Beal, and three granddaughters, all of Spokane.
