Man Killed In Traffic Accident
A man was killed Monday after he lost control of his car while driving on Cheney-Spokane Road, Spokane police said.
Police did not identifying the victim, pending notification of his family.
The car was headed south at a high speed on the Cheney-Spokane Road, nearly a mile south of Cedar Road, a police report said.
The car’s tires left the roadway and the driver overcorrected. That sent the car into the northbound lanes before it sped off the road, according to police.
The man was thrown from the car, which rolled twice, police said. Additional information about the 6:50 p.m. accident was not available late Monday.
Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
