Good Teachers

What makes a good teacher? Several people called Our Generation’s Cityline hotline to tell us what they think works best in the classroom in response to Kresha Frankhauser’s essay on her favorite teacher.

But Lindsey Kremmel from Ferris summed it up best. Here’s her to-do list for teachers. A tall order, to be sure.

Teachers should:

be fun

be interesting, not boring

be creative

treat us like people, not children

be supportive and enthusiastic

really care about us and our future

treat us with respect

enjoy teaching the subject they teach
