The Nra Under Fire

Election Day last year had National Rifle Association members reveling in their political clout.

Seven months later, the group is under fire - even from former allies - as too militant and hardline. Critics say the group’s anti-government rhetoric encourages militia groups and extreme right-wing terrorists.

There are tens of thousands of hunters, target shooters and gun owners in the Inland Northwest. The Spokesman-Review wants to hear gun owners’ views of the NRA, its image and its direction.

Does the group represent the views of the average sportsman or target shooter? Has the rise of militia groups or the Oklahoma City bombing affected your perception of the NRA? We are especially interested in hearing from current or former members of the NRA.
