Mr. And Mrs. Claus Bring Cheer To Season

Don And Dave Runyan U-Bild Features

If you’re looking for a big, colorful display for the holidays, why not bring the North Pole to your front yard, along with its cast of characters. Gathered around Santa’s Workshop here are the jolly fellow himself, his wife, his little helpers and one of his team of magic reindeer. They’re all busy preparing to reward the boys and girls of the world.

It’s big, so it’s sure to catch the eyes of friends and neighbors, especially the littlest ones. The workshop measures 8 feet tall by 8 feet wide, while Santa stands about 6 feet tall (and almost as wide). Mrs. Claus is about 5-1/2 feet tall, the elves range in height from 15 inches to 2 feet, and the reindeer is 4 feet long.

The whole group can be put together over a weekend or two. Each figure is mounted on exterior plywood (half-inch or more) with waterproof glue. After allowing 24 hours to dry, just saw around the outside edges, paint the backs, affix stakes or stands and set up in the yard.

No special skills or tools are required, and no painting is necessary. Each figure is printed on weather-resistant poster paper (similar to billboards) in full-color, waterproof inks.

The North Pole Display, No. C70, is $49.95 and includes posters for Santa’s Workshop, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, the five elves and a reindeer. Individually, Santa’s Workshop is $37.95, Santa is $11.95, Mrs. Claus is $10.95, the five elves are $13.95 and the reindeer are $4.95 each.
