Nine Officers Drown In India

Nine policemen drowned when a motorboat capsized in the Yamuna river in New Delhi Friday.

Eleven policemen swam to safety, the United News of India agency quoted D. C. Pandey, a police official, as saying.

Residents helped police divers recover the bodies.
