No. 1 Wwu To Play Familiar Foe

Top-ranked Western Washington will begin its bid for its first-ever NAIA Division II national football championship Saturday with a first-round game against No. 14 Central Washington.

The game at Civic Stadium at 1 p.m. will be the first-ever home playoff game for the Vikings (9-0). Western Washington beat Central Washington (7-3) 19-16 in Bellingham Oct. 21.

The Vikings will be making their second straight playoff appearance and third overall appearance.

Pacific Lutheran (6-2-1) will play Findlay (7-1-1) in a first-round game Saturday at the Ohio school.
