2 Women, Boy Shot To Death At Trailer
Two women and a child were found shot to death Sunday morning at a trailer where two of them lived, and the owner of the mobile home is being questioned but is not considered a suspect, Benton County sheriff’s investigators said.
Relationships among the four are not entirely clear, and Undersheriff Bill Morley would not give their identities or many other details.
He said it is the southeastern Washington county’s first triple homicide in about 30 years.
The gun used in the shootings is being sought, Morley said.
Neighbors said they heard a commotion about 3 a.m. The corpses were discovered after one neighbor saw a body outside the mobile home and made an emergency call to authorities at 9:36 a.m., Morley said.
The body turned out to be that of a woman in her 20s. Inside, investigators found the bodies of another woman in her mid-20s and a 3-year-old boy.
About noon, a man who owned the trailer and who apparently had been a friend of one of the women was located. He was not arrested or considered a suspect but was being questioned by detectives, the undersheriff said.
One of the dead women and the boy lived in the trailer, he said.
