Steve Helm scored 22 points and Troy Thompson had 20 as North Idaho College routed the Lewis-Clark State junior varsity 86-55 in preseason men’s basketball at Christianson Gym Tuesday night.

The Cardinals, who led 31-22 at halftime, improved to 3-0.

NIC outrebounded the Warriors 45-32, getting eight from Thompson.

Helm added five assists.
