Circus Crocodile Freezes In Georgia

The former Soviet republic of Georgia in winter is no place for a crocodile.

The ITAR-Tass news agency said Thursday a visiting crocodile froze to death when it was stranded for several days by an avalanche that closed a mountain road.

The report said the crocodile was part of a Ukrainian circus on tour in Georgia. By the time the circus reached the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, the cold-blooded creature was dead.
