Alaric Brozovsky Sr. Saudi Arabia
Memorial service for Alaric J. Brozovsky Sr., 31, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North.
Born in Spokane, Mr. Brozovsky died Nov. 13 in a bomb explosion in Saudi Arabia.
He graduated from North Central High School in 1981 and received a college degree in business management..
He and his wife, Diane, were married 11 years ago in the San Juan Islands and had lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, and Santa Clara, Calif.
Mr. Brozovsky had been working as a civilian buyer for the Army in Saudi Arabia.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Alaric “Justin” Brozovsky II, at home; his mother, Orise Brozovsky of Spokane; seven brothers, David Luna of York, Maine, Paul and John Brozovsky, both of Blacksburg, Va., Joel Brozovsky of Japan, Elben Brozovsky of Raleigh, N.C., Elman Brozovsky of Worcester, Mass., and Newman Brozovsky of Livingston, Mont.; and three sisters, Truth Haines and Dawn Brozovsky, both of Spokane, and Joy Edge of Anchorage, Alaska.
Kevin Peterson Spokane
Service for Kevin Lynn Peterson, 27, was Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Peterson, who was born in Richland, died Nov. 15 in a train accident in Idaho.
He had lived in Othello, Wash., and attended Othello High School. He then moved to Spokane and graduated from University High School.
Mr. Peterson worked as a crab fisherman in Alaska for several years.
He is survived by a daughter, Kaylene Peterson; his father, Darrell Peterson, and his wife, Kim, of Newman Lake; his mother, Faith Thompson, and her husband, Terry, of Othello; nine brothers, Kelly, Todd, Sean, Terry, Loren, Johnny, Darren, Jamie and Aaron; four sisters, Kristine, Michelle, Kimberly and Stormy; and his grandmothers, Marcella Thompson and Val Swanson.
Suzanne Dexter Spokane
Service for Suzanne Y. “Suzie” Dexter, 37, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Miss Dexter, a lifetime Spokane resident, died Monday.
She is survived by her mother, Yvonne Dexter of Spokane; her father, Dorain Dexter of Prosser, Wash.; a brother, Deon Dexter of Spokane; and her grandmothers, Helen Randles and Alice Dexter both of Spokane.
She had attended Bryant School for 12 years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pre-Vocational Training Center.
Etta Lempesis Veradale
Private service for Etta E. (McManus) Lempesis, 96, was held.
Mrs. Lempesis, who was born in Westford, Mass., died Sunday.
She graduated from Lewiston Normal Business College and worked as a secretary at Lehigh Portland Cement Co., in Metaline Falls, Wash. She came to Spokane in 1941.
Her husband of 57 years, Louie Lempesis, died in 1982.
Mrs. Lempesis is survived by one son, David Lempesis of Seattle; one daughter, Marylou Schaaf of Veradale; one sister, Estelle West of Veradale; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ann ‘Cosette’ Adair Spokane
Private service was held for Ann I. “Cosette” Adair at Riplinger Funeral Home.
Born in Butte Mont, Mrs. Adair, died last Friday. She was 79.
She had worked at The Crescent Department Store in the ladies coat department and retired in the early 1980s.
She had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Adair is survived by one daughter, Diane Goeden, and one son, Thomas Cawley, both of Spokane; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Myrtle R. Olin Post Falls
At her request, no service will be held for Myrtle R. Olin, 87. Yates Funeral Home of Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Olin, who was born in Idaho, died last Friday.
She grew up in Bonner and Kootenai counties and received her education in Spirit Lake, Idaho.
She married Rodney Olin in 1927. They lived in North Idaho until moving to Soap Lake, Wash.
Mrs. Olin later moved to Post Falls.
She enjoyed her home and gardening.
Her husband died earlier.
Survivors include a sister, Alie Moloso of Moses Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hazel Burgett Spokane
No service will be held for Hazel Frances Burgett, 91, at her request. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burgett, who died Friday, was born in Hatton, Wash.
She graduated from Cheney Normal School and began teaching at Rock Lake, Wash., and then Fruitland, Idaho.
She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and taught business education in Alaska, and Mullan and Rathdrum, Idaho. She retired in 1969.
After she retired, she volunteered as a manuscript transcriptionist for the Father Palmer Braille Society.
She was a member of PEO, Chapter M, a philanthropic and educational organization.
Her husband of 40 years, Harvey Burgett, died in 1994.
She is survived by one sister, Lena Roning of Loon Lake, Wash.
Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Fire Boys and Girls.
Francis Lisoski Spokane
Service for Francis John Lisoski, 64, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Havre, Mont., Mr. Lisoski died Monday.
He had lived in Spokane for more than 12 years.
He served in the Army for 26 years, including the Vietnam War and Korean War, and retired in 1982.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1474, Eagles Lodge No. 2 and the Catholic Church.
He is survived by a son, Michael Lisoski of Michigan City, Ind.; his mother, Olga Lisoski of Spokane; a sister, Joan Willingham of Great Falls, Mont.; his former wife, Joyce Lisoski of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.
Eugene MacDonald Coeur d’Alene
Service for Eugene W. “Sandy” MacDonald, 81, was Monday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene.
Mr. MacDonald, who was born in Minnesota, died Nov. 16.
He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1923 and served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater.
He married Mary Quinn in 1947.
Mr. MacDonald attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Academy in Coeur d’Alene and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School. He went on to attend Gonzaga University and the Gonzaga School of Law. He served as a Kootenai County probate judge and later as the Coeur d’Alene postmaster before retiring in 1971.
He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife, at home; two sons, Robert of Spokane and Don of Coeur d’Alene; two daughters, Maureen Sempert of Portland and Margaret Johnson of Coeur d’Alene; and seven grandchildren.
