High-Speed Chase Ends In Wreck
A Spokane teenager was arrested Saturday afternoon after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended in a downtown collision.
The 18-year-old driver ran four red lights before plowing his car into an Isuzu Trooper in the middle of Second and Post shortly after 1 p.m.
One of the passengers in the Trooper, a boy, suffered head and neck injuries and was taken to Deaconess Medical Center, police said.
The chase began on East Sprague near Ivory when the teenager, driving with a suspended license, spotted a patrol car and suddenly stomped on the accelerator.
The driver, whose identity was not immediately available, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and eluding police.
