P&T; Partners Plans South Hill Project

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane developers plan to build a carwash, laundromat and dry cleaner on 3.4 acres in south Spokane.

P&T Partners, which is short for Pring and Tonani, plans to begin construction on the northeast corner of Regal Street and Palouse Highway in the spring. The development will create access to ShopKo, at 4515 S. Regal, from the Palouse Highway.

The development also could include a bank, retail space and offices, said John Tonani. But no other businesses have committed to the area, he said.

Inland Pacific Engineering, which is studying how the development will impact traffic, will release their findings at a public meeting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamblen Elementary School, 2121 E. Thurston.

In order to build on the land, zoning must be changed from multi-family residential to limited community business.

P&T Partners also built the HiCo Village shopping areas on U.S. Highway 2 and at Sprague and Mullan.
