Hit-And-Run Charge Dismissed

A hit-and-run driving charge has been dismissed against Deborah McRoberts, chairman of the Pend Oreille County Democratic Central Committee and director of the Family Crisis Network in Newport.

The King County prosecutor’s office dropped the charge after McRoberts agreed to pay a North Bend, Wash., woman $50 for minor damages to the woman’s car in a September 1994 rear-end collision.

McRoberts also agreed to pay $55 in court costs. , DataTimes
